My neighbor told me not long ago that her work was hiring people. I knew that I would have to start at the bottom there, but I was not concerned about that. It is such a good company, so I was really thankful that she gave me a heads up on it. I knew that I would need to fill out an application, but I also wanted to leave my resume with it. I had no idea how to even make one though, so I went online to see if I could find a resume template.

What I found was even better. I thought I would have to find one and just try to copy it as best as I could, but I actually found a site that has quite a few different resume templates. When I say quite a few, I am actually talking hundreds! I was still feeling a bit overwhelmed because I had no idea how I was going to know which one out of all those hundreds to use. Thankfully, there were step by step instructions on the site even on how to handle this.

I had never put together a resume before, so having such detailed instructions really helped me. I was able to get the content that I needed for it, including my education and former work places. I also was able to decide on which format I wanted to use. I chose chronological because it just made the most sense to me. I am really glad I was able to learn all of this because I thought that my resume would be looked at in depth, but I read on the site where the people who are looking at them only take seconds. Because of that, I was able to format mine in a way that really made things stand out. It worked too, because I got the job that I had wanted for years.
